**NEW POSITION** Facilities Operations Technician Part-Time (Evenings)

Works under the direction of the Supervisor to assist as needed with janitorial/housekeeping and security.
  • Clean (sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust) offices as needed and class rooms.
  • Assist colleague in dispensing janitorial supply requests to classroom teachers weekly.
  • Clean all classroom entrance doors, knobs, and frames.
  • Washes windows, screens, sills, woodwork, doors, desks, walls, and ceilings.
  • Cleans, sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors by hand or machine; cleans carpet, upholstery and furniture.
  • Pulls trash both indoor and outdoor and police outside grounds for litter
  • Be visible a visible presence to staff, participants and visitors.
  • Exterior check of all doors and gates on property.  This is to be done upon arrival, two times in the afternoon and just prior to securing facility and setting alarms, at minimum and as defined in daily schedule.
  • Monitor traffic flow, especially during high-traffic hours, to ensure minimal traffic congestion.
  • Enforce the safety policies, procedures and behaviors that are expected of employees, participants, and visitors while at the agency.
  • Adheres to safety and universal precautions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Possesses knowledge of custodial, and security.
  • Ability to inventory and complete supplies requisition forms.
  • Presents in a professional manner and able to perform independently.Strong problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, well organized, and able to work under pressure of multiple deadlines; demonstrates flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload.

  • Possesses the ability to work holistically, as part of a team, with staff, program participants, volunteers and the community.

High school diploma and/or GED and/or training and one year experience accomplishing comparable duties required.
